The All Peoples Congress (APC) has released its provisional voters register for the upcoming district elections.
Party members, delegates, aspirants and other stakeholders now have a short window to check it carefully.
The National Secretariat made this disclosure in a public notice issued on 7 September 2026.
According to the APC Secretariat, the register is already available on the party’s official website, apcsl.net. They added that copies have also been sent to the regions and districts, and they will be put up at designated places in the districts so people can easily look at them.
The APC Secretariat further urged anyone who is qualified to vote or contest to examine the list within the next 48 hours, noting that if anyone spot a missing name, wrong details, a duplicate entry or anything else that needs fixing, they should report it straight away to the them. They reiterated that time is short.
The party noted that they are working under a 21-day deadline set by the court to finish its outstanding internal elections. They added that that roughly six to seven of those days have already been used for planning, checking the register, and making administrative arrangements. That leaves limited time, which is why the Secretariat is giving only 48 hours for this verification step.
According to the Secretariat, corrections received in time will be processed and included in the final voters register before the elections on Saturday, 19 September 2026.
“If you need a correction, you can contact the National Secretariat directly or go there in person. Designated staff will be available to take your request and help process it,” they further stated.
The Secretariat called on everyone concerned to cooperate fully and act quickly, adding that, waiting until the 48-hour period ends will make it harder to fix problems.
The party said it remains committed to running an orderly, transparent, credible, and inclusive electoral process.
This step forms part of the APC’s ongoing lower-level internal elections, which have moved from ward and constituency stages toward the district level. The process has faced delays and court interventions in recent months, including a High Court order that set the 21-day timeline for completing the district elections while allowing limited administrative support to keep the polls on track.
The provisional register is now out. Members are expected to check it promptly so the final list can be ready for the 19 September elections.
