The All Peoples Congress (APC) has postponed its outstanding ward and constituency elections from Saturday, 12 September 2026, to Tuesday, 15 September 2026.
In a public notice dated 11 September 2026 and issued by the party’s National Secretariat, the APC informed members, aspirants, delegates, election officials and other stakeholders of the change.
The party said the rescheduling was necessary due to various petitions arising from the electoral process. These petitions were first considered by the Independent Elections Complaints Board (IECB) and later referred to the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC).
The notice stated that the PPRC is currently concluding its deliberations and determinations on the outstanding petitions. To ensure the matters are properly resolved and that relevant decisions are taken into account before the elections proceed, the party deemed the postponement prudent.
“Accordingly, all outstanding Constituency Elections shall now be conducted on Tuesday, 15th September 2026, together with all remaining outstanding Ward Elections,” the notice said.
The APC has requested all aspirants, delegates, party members, election officials and stakeholders to take due notice of the new date and act accordingly.
The party expressed appreciation for the patience, understanding and cooperation of its members as it works toward an orderly, transparent, peaceful and credible conclusion of the lower-level electoral process.
The notice was issued under the authority of the National Secretariat of the All Peoples Congress.
