The opposition All Peoples Congress (APC) has released the official list of venues for its long-awaited District Elections slated for this Saturday, September 27, 2026.
In a notice dated September 23 and issued by the APC National Secretariat under the party’s motto “Action – Progress – Commitment,” the party informed all delegates, candidates and stakeholders of the designated centres nationwide and urged them to prepare accordingly.
The district polls are a crucial step in the APC’s lower-level restructuring ahead of its National Delegates Conference. The party has been embroiled in internal court cases and leadership disputes since 2021, with district executive elections repeatedly postponed.

The notice was signed by the APC National Secretariat and bears the endorsement stamp of the Legitimate Council of APC Media Bloggers, a group aligned with the current executive.
There is confusion over the date, with the notice stating “Saturday, 26 September 2026” – however, September 26, 2026 falls on a Saturday, while some party communications say September 27. The Secretariat is yet to clarify.
Port Loko District – a key APC stronghold and home of former President Ernest Bai Koroma – was listed without a venue, raising questions among grassroots supporters online.
The APC advised all accredited delegates to confirm their centres with their district leadership before Saturday and to conduct themselves peacefully.
The party is expected to use the same register that was used for its 2023 lower-level elections, which were later annulled by the courts.
