On the busy streets of Kissy Road and PZ Junction, where survival is a daily struggle for many, Christmas arrived not with fireworks or fanfare, but with bags of food, warm smiles, and renewed hope—sent across oceans by Pastor Smith through the Komon Tok Online Platform.
Though based in Australia and not physically present, Pastor Smith’s generosity spoke loudly in Freetown as food items were distributed on his behalf to less privileged and physically challenged individuals, reminding them that compassion knows no distance.
The Christmas outreach included ten (10) bags of rice, four (4) bags of onions, two (2) rubbers of vegetable oil, two (2) rubbers of palm oil, and assorted Maggi cubes. In total, eleven (11) bags were prepared, each neatly organized to ensure fairness and dignity in distribution. Every bag contained twenty (20) plastic portions.
Each beneficiary received eight (8) cups of rice, three (3) onions, two (2) Maggi cubes, and either one pint of vegetable oil or palm oil; simple items that made a meaningful difference during the festive season.
For many recipients, the donation was more than food. It was relief. It was recognition. It was a reminder that even in hardship, they are remembered and valued. The initiative specifically targeted those who often feel invisible; people living with disabilities and those struggling under economic pressure.
Those who coordinated the distribution shared Pastor Smith’s message of love, unity, and selfless giving, emphasizing that Christmas is about lifting others, especially the most vulnerable. Beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude, describing the gesture as timely and deeply touching.
Through the Komon Tok Online Platform, Pastor Smith’s outreach stands as a powerful example of how one act of kindness no matter the distance can restore dignity, spark joy, and redefine the true meaning of Christmas.
